Skin: Juice Beauty

March 5, 2012

Recently, i discovered probably one of the best skin care products ever known to mankind.  Ok, maybe not to all mankind, but specifically to my skin, Grace.  Yes, i named my skin Grace because like any individual, she can be very temperamental but she has to be loved and pampered with Grace [heehee!].

Back to the subject at hand, over many years, as far as i can remember, i have always had some sort of skin issue but i used to mark it off as “oh, i’m a teenager and this sort of thing is supposed to happen.”, or “i’m pregnant and my hormones are going all kinds of crazy causing stress acne.”, or even better, “it’s this darn crazy weather in DC that just doesn’t do well with my skin.  Same with the Florida weather that i was born in that didn’t like my skin.  If i move to the west coast, it’ll be better.”.  There was always an excuse, but fact of the matter is, i have adult acne and that is all to it.

Now coming to terms with this stigma, i have decided to do something about it besides covering it up with my trusty MAC products.  i tried a couple of “tested and approved” systems for skin of color that was supposed to treat my hyperpigmented blemishes but to no avail.  Then, i set off to try Proactiv but thought against it as even the smell of the product scared me away from it.  See, i have sensitive skin and i didn’t want to use anything that could potentially make it worse.

That leads me to Juice Beauty.  Never in a million years would i have tried this product, but lucky me, i was a recipient of the sample sized Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum in my monthly subscription of Birchbox.  So i figured, why not?  I’ve tried everything else under this sun and this product claimed to be organic, so off i go.  First i started using it once a day to be sure it wouldn’t irritate my skin and then after a few days, i upped the ante and used it twice a day, once in the morning and once before bed.  This went on for a week, and i never paid attention to my skin in doing so.  It just became a part of my everyday regimen.  Well, this morning as i was gently drying my face after cleansing it, that is when it hit me.  EUREKA!!!  My blemishes are fading!  I couldn’t believe my eyes.  Literally, the darkest blemishes that ran me ragged daily were finding their ways off my face and now revealing my chestnut-kissed by the sun skin.  Ahhh…i can breath!

So now of course, i went online and googled this product, really doing my research and low and behold, this happens to be what bloggers and youtubers swear by.  And truth be told, it is made up of nearly 95% organic content and derived from plants.  Not to mention, it’s super inexpensive!  $29 a pop and a little goes a long way.  It can be used as a spot treatment or a moisturizer.  My makeup even looks better.  I get compliments all the time as to how my skin is glowing and looks so pretty.  I am one happy customer and now have a product i will not live without.  Check it out here and tell me what you think.  Enjoy!

I use the blemish clearing serum also and absolutely love it! Unlike other blemish clearing products I have used this one does not dry out my skin! I pair it with the blemish clearing cleanser and I’m so happy to have found something that actually works and clears up my skin!

I havent tried the blemish clearing cleanser, but since you say you love it, i have to try it! I wonder about the Green Apple Peel too, but it makes me nervous since i have sensitive skin. So far, the blemish clearing serum is showing proof of what it promises. I LOVE IT!!!
